  11. Has anyone heard of Askey before?

  13. I got a Quantex system in June that came with such a modem (28.8) and have
  14. been having problems left & right with it.  First, it wouldn't train down
  15. to a 14.4 Gateway Telepath II on the answer end so Quantex sent me a new
  16. modem which fixed this.  Now, the damn thing won't connect to another 28.8
  17. any higher than 21.6.  One of 28.8s I tried is on AOLNet, the other at work
  18. on a SLIP server.

  20. The only thing I can tell you about this POS is that it uses an AT&T v.34
  21. chipset.

  25.     16MB RAM
  26.     850MB HDD
  27.     Win95

  29. Do you think I should demand a differently manufactured modem from Quantex?
  30. I think they've now switched to Diamond Multimedia modems.  Any pros/cons
  31. on this particular modem?  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
